CODE OF CONDUCT

The Penn Research in Embedded Computing and Integrated Systems Engineering (“PRECISE”) Center is committed to creating a safe experience for all Industry Day participants, regardless of any and all personal characteristics, including race, gender, religion, nationality or ability.

To protect speakers’ privacy and to ensure that they can speak freely with the audience, presentations will not be recorded or posted publicly. Sharing images or recordings of presentation content in any form (e.g., photos of slides, audio or video recordings) is strictly prohibited.

Mobile phones must be turned off or on silent mode during the presentations. Our speakers have traveled long distances to share their insights, so we ask that you limit the use of your mobile phone, including text messaging, during sessions.

EVENT ETIQUETTE

To ensure a seamless and enjoyable experience for all attendees, we kindly request that you arrive early and be seated before the commencement of the program. We also appreciate your timely return to the auditorium after each break. Your punctuality will help maintain a smooth and uninterrupted schedule.

Latecomers will be directed to enter through the Mezzanine Level, as access to the main entrance will be restricted once the session has started. To ensure a smooth experience for everyone, please plan to remain seated throughout each session. If you must excuse yourself, please do so quietly between TED Talks or panel discussions to minimize any disturbance. Kindly use the two doors at the back of the auditorium, which will lead you to the Mezzanine Level.

Due to limited legroom, we recommend leaving any large bags in the designated backstage area for your comfort.

As a courtesy to fellow participants, we encourage all attendees to take a COVID test prior to the event. If you are feeling unwell on the day of the event, please consider wearing a mask. Should you need one, masks will be available upon request.

REGISTRATION

Registration is required for attendance at Industry Day. Tickets will not be available on the day of the event. If you do not have a ticket, you will not be admitted to the event.

PRECISE Industry Day 2024 is a SOLD OUT event. Seats are unassigned. Upon entry to the auditorium, there are two sides to enter each row of seats. We appreciate you filling all middle empty seats first.

PHOTOGRAPHY

The University of Pennsylvania and the PRECISE Center regularly photograph activities and events happening on and off campus. Photographs may be posted on the Penn website, in conference materials, University publications, or otherwise used to highlight the research or work of Penn affiliates. By registering to attend PRECISE Industry Day, attendees by default agree to being photographed and to have those images shared by the University for the uses described above.

LIMITED RIGHT OF USE

The site and content of PRECISE Industry Day 2024 is and shall remain the property of the Trustees of the University of Pennsylvania and/or the PRECISE Center, and are protected by copyright, trademark, patent, and/or other intellectual property, proprietary, work product rights and laws.  Participants must agree not to reproduce, modify, create derivative works based on any part of PRECISE Industry Day 2024 content. Trade names, trademarks, and service marks of the PRECISE Center and the University of Pennsylvania include, without limitation, any and all associated logos.

Please contact us immediately at precise@seas.upenn.edu if you receive suspicious communications claiming to have been sent on behalf of the PRECISE Center.

PROTECTION OF PERSONAL INFORMATION

Use of your personal data is limited to event-related notifications sent before and after the event via email. Your personal data can only be accessed by a limited number of event staff from the PRECISE Center and will be destroyed 48 hours after the event. Badges will be produced using the preferred name and other information provided by attendees. Your name and affiliation will be included in the program booklet.
