Peter Suma is an entrepreneur with extensive leadership experience in artificial intelligence, robotics, and financial technology. He is currently an Advisory Partner at LEAP Strategy Partners and an Advisor at Mirsee Robotics Inc.
Peter has founded and led multiple high-tech companies, driving them from inception to significant value creation. He has built three companies—one in financial services, one in robotics, and one in AI—achieving notable exits, including a $10M sale, growing one to a valuation of $243M, and another to $100M. His career also includes significant roles in venture capital, where he managed two seed venture funds and held leadership positions such as VP of Investments at Growthworks Capital Inc. and Principal at Start Seed Capital.
Peter’s passion for artificial intelligence began during his undergraduate studies in computer science at the University of Toronto. His commitment to advancing AI led him to complete a MASc in Theoretical and Computational Neuroscience, focusing on biologically plausible neural architectures for cognition.
Peter’s academic credentials include an Honours B.Sc. from the University of Toronto, an MBA from the University of Chicago, a PDAM in Financial Engineering from the Schulich School of Business, an ICD.D from the Rotman School of Business, an LLM in Securities Law from Osgoode Hall Law School, and a Master of Applied Science in Systems Engineering from the University of Waterloo.
