PRECISE: Penn Research In Embedded Computing and Integrated Systems Engineering

The PRECISE Center at the University of Pennsylvania, established in September 2008, brings together leading experts in electrical systems engineering and computer science to pioneer advancements in embedded computing and integrated systems.

Our research is dedicated to developing both fundamental and practical solutions for complex challenges in modeling, control, simulation, operation, formal methods, and the implementation of cyber-physical systems and the Internet of Things. We excel in machine learning, safe autonomy, adversarial robustness, anomaly detection, software correctness and reliability, formal verification, hardware/control, high-level visual perception, and security.

Our commitment to "Safe AI" is driven by four core objectives:

(1) Designing and engineering intelligent, reliable, and autonomous complex systems.

(2) Innovating techniques to ensure confidence in their behavior and robustness.

(3) Enhancing programmer productivity and advancing software correctness, performance, and security through state-of-the-art automated techniques.

(4) Developing AI technologies inspired by the sophistication of human intelligence.

At the PRECISE Center, we are not just advancing technology; we are shaping the future of industries by addressing the complex challenges of today's digital landscape with visionary solutions.
